Peter & Liz Houlihan and the dynamic ‘Drive to A Brighter Future’ Committee held a very enjoyable and hugely successful golf event on 13th & 14th October, 2011 at The Lodge at Doonbeg, Doonbeg, Co. Clare. The Compére was Sir Terry Wogan and the guests were further entertained by Paul Harrington and his band, with special guests Charlie McGettigan and Niamh Kavanagh.

A huge thanks to the team at Doonbeg and all who supported it .

Eat to the Beat at the Dublin Bay Taste & Music Fest 2011

Dublin Bay chefs prepared to ‘Eat to the Beat’ at the launch of the inaugural Dublin Bay Taste & Music Fest . This culinary and entertainment extravaganza is set to take place from Thursday 25th August to Sunday 28th August 2011 in the beautiful setting of The Peoples Park, Dun Laoghaire (12noon – 10pm daily) .

Fun Walk for Charity in aid of CCRT

Sunday 10th July 2011,  Time 2pm, Dun Laoghaire West Pier

Walk the two piers in Dun Laoghaire in aid of the Cancer Clinical Research Trust. The Cancer Clinical Research Trust is dedicated to reducing the burden of cancer suffering through the development of improved treatment of cancer patients – Professor John Crown The Pier2Pier Sponsored Walk will take place during the Dun Laoghaire Volvo Regatta weekend. This 5 mile fun walk starts at the Motor Yacht Club on the West Pier and finishes at the National Yacht Club on the West Pier and finishes at the National Yacht Club on the East Pier.

Many thanks to Robin Neiland and all at Seapoint Rugby Club who held a BBQ after their recent fantastic result against Greystones,a donation from which is being given to the CCRT.  Also collection buckets for the CCRT were generously filled by supporters.  We are very grateful to all who took part.  Robin, friends and Seapoint Rugby Club are planning to do it again at the Junior Blitz on Sunday 17th April.
