Jewels for Cures will be unveiling the Brian Boru Millennium Crown at Dublin Castle on Holy Thursday, April 17th 2014.
The Jewels for Cures fundraising initiative was launched in December 2012 with the primary aim of creating the ‘Brian Boru Millennium Crown’ to commemorate the ancient High King and Emperor of the Irish.
The Brian Boru Crown is now ready to be unveiled on Holy Thursday, 17th April, 2014, in the Round Room of Dublin Castle, by Minister Deenihan, Minister for Arts, Heritage and Gaeltacht.
A heritage scroll, containing the names of all contributors will also be completed by the end of 2014. The names of loved ones who have passed away will be placed on a special part of the Crown Brian Boru Millennium Scroll.
We are very appreciative to all who donated silver and gold jewellery to make this wonderful project happen! Professor Crown, all the directors, staff and most importantly – the patients are extremely grateful to all on the Jewels for Cures Brian Boru Committee, what a wonderful initiative and a great way to honour the millennium of Brian Boru!
